Captured images can have data overlays superimposed on individual frames. The items displayed can be amended to suit the client's needs. For example, a highway survey may include, position (lat/long/height), roughness, section ID, chainage.

Video Mapper was developed to meet the specific needs of a difficult highway data collection project for the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Philippines.

The system had to work in terrain that varied from heavy city traffic to remote mountain and forest roads.

Very flexible

Some of the islands did not have vehicle ferry access, so the system was designed to be easily mounted on a variety of vehicles - which have included jeeps, cars, tractors and even a motorbike !

The GPS data is post processed and therefore does not rely on the presence of a DGPS service. It is therefore a truly worldwide 'tool'.
